Notes:
We’re currently aware of an issue affecting the ability to go live on Instagram. This issue is on Instagram’s side and impacts all streaming software, including Streamlabs.
Our team is actively reaching out to Instagram to address this and will work to have it resolved as quickly as possible.
Work Around:
While we await Instagram to resolve the issue, we have seen some success with users adjusting their web browser view to mobile. Please note that we cannot guarantee how this might affect your stream, so proceed with caution if you decide to test it. Here’s what you can do:
- Visit instagram.com in your browser.
- Open the Developer Tools for your web browser. You can press F12 on your keyboard for most browsers, or right click the page > Inspect/Inspect Element to open the dev tools on all browsers.
- Click the device toggle icon (it looks like a computer and phone) in the top-left corner of the dev tools. This will switch the view to mobile.
- Create your live stream on Instagram while in mobile view.
- Copy the stream key and URL into Streamlabs Desktop.
- Start streaming from Streamlabs Desktop.
- Wait until the feed shows on Instagram, and then go live there.
