Streamlabs Mobile - Screen share appearing smaller on the stream

Date Reported:

12/3/2024

Status:

Awaiting Third Party

Notes:

When using screen share, the game or screen share screen appears smaller when viewed on stream. This is caused by the stream being started in landscape, and then the phone is rotated to portrait. As the stream started in landscape it is locked to landscape, but the output is now rotated into portrait, causing the stream to appear smaller.

Workaround:

Twitch or Trovo: Disable Orientation Lock in settings to allow the stream output to rotate with phone orientation.

iOS orientation lock can be found in advanced settings: https://imgur.com/a/f4jNSGU
Android orientation lock can be found in the video settings: https://imgur.com/a/6Qx8F3F

YouTube and other platforms: There is no current workaround; the phone must maintain the original orientation from when the stream started.
