With Streamlabs Desktop you can start live streaming to YouTube in a matter of minutes. This guide will help you install Streamlabs Desktop, take you through the onboarding process, and help you install an overlay theme. If you are familiar with the onboarding process you can learn how to add scenes, sources, and alerts by reading part two here.
Let’s get started.
2. Connect Your Account: Sign in with your YouTube account to get started using Streamlabs Desktop.
3. Import Settings: After logging in, the import settings function allows you to transfer settings from other broadcasting software in less than a minute. You can also start fresh, and configure settings manually. In this case, we’ll start fresh.
4. Add Your Microphone and Webcam: If you already have a webcam and a microphone connected to your computer, Streamlabs Desktop will automatically detect it here. Pick the devices you’d like to use or you can change these devices later on.
5. Add a Theme: There are over 250 free themes and many premium themes made by top designers in the industry. Theme overlay packages make your stream stand out and add a personal touch. Most themes will come with a stream starting soon, a live scene, a be right back scene, and a stream ending scene. Your stream now looks polished with one click!
