Streamlabs Desktop - Buttons on the Log In screen don't work/open a new browser to authenticate sign on

Note: 

When this issue occurs, it's common that you see the buttons load for a brief moment but then no browser opens to authenticate your sign on.

You may also experience when clicking on Facebook's log in button that this works just fine and opens a new window to sign in. This is because this window does not operate under the same circumstances of utilizing a browser window as the other log in methods.

 

Steps to resolve:

To resolve this issue you'll need to temporarily change your default browser on Windows. 

 

1. Close Streamlabs Desktop

2. Press the Windows key on your keyboard or go bottom left and click the Windows logo.

3. Search for "default apps".

4. Find the default apps section

5. Change your default browser to a new browser. For example, if you're currently on Chrome, you'll want to change it to Edge or Firefox.

6. Once you've changed this, reopen Streamlabs Desktop and see if the same issue occurs when attempting to log in.
