How to Use MIXLINE with Streamlabs Desktop

MIXLINE by Logitech G is a cutting-edge audio mixing tool designed to simplify audio routing and mixing for live streamers and content creators. With an easy-to-use interface, MIXLINE makes managing your audio setup as simple as dragging and drawing connections you can visualize.

This guide will walk you through setting up MIXLINE and connecting it to Streamlabs Desktop. Before we get to that, below are some key features of MIXLINE that you should know about.

    • Drag, Drop, Monitor: Easily drag and draw audio routes, monitor sound with a single button, and connect inputs to multiple outputs.
    • Mix, Stream, and Record: Connect, route, and professionally mix your audio with a super efficient and quick setup.
    • Independent Volume Control: Adjust input volumes for each submix or each individual input or output.
    • Professional-Grade Audio Customization: Customize audio in real-time without bulky external hardware mixers.

    Download and Install MIXLINE

Step 1: Go to the MIXLINE page to download the application (note: the application is currently only available for Windows operating systems).

Step 2: Follow the installation process to install MIXLINE on your computer fully.

    Set Up MIXLINE Audio Routes

Step 1: After installing, open the MIXLINE application on your computer.

Step 2: When you first open the program, you’ll see the main interface with Add Input and Add Output on each side of your screen.

To add your audio sources, click the applicable dropdown and choose the ones you want to add. Repeat this for each input and output audio source you wish to add.

If your device isn’t showing, double-check that it is fully connected to your computer. If you wish to use a specific application on your computer as an audio source, ensure it’s up and running.

For outputs, be sure to add MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record as an output. This will serve as an Audio Input Capture in Streamlabs Desktop when routing audio.

Step 3: Once your audio sources are added in MIXLINE, it’s time to start making connections. You can do this by selecting the plus sign icon (node) next to the audio input of your choice and selecting the output from the dropdown that you’d like to connect it to.

The easiest way is to drag the node from the audio input to the output you wish to connect it to. Each connection will be colored differently to help you easily identify your connections in MIXLINE.

Below are some examples of connections that you can make in MIXLINE.

    • Routing Discord audio so that it only plays in your headphones and not on stream
    • Playing copyright-free music on stream but not in your headphones (so you listen to game audio, for instance)
    • Split audio to where you can play your preferred music through your headphones while your stream hears something different (that’s allowed on stream and doesn’t break guidelines)

Step 5: Control the volume of your inputs and outputs, including submixes with multiple inputs connected.

Step 6: Monitor your outputs by clicking the listening ear icon to hear exactly how they will sound.

    Connecting MIXLINE with Streamlabs

Once you’ve set up all of your connections in MIXLINE, you can route your audio in Streamlabs Desktop.

Step 1: Open Streamlabs Desktop on your computer.

Step 2: Next, you must add MIXLINE as an audio source in Streamlabs. To do so, press the plus sign (+) icon next to Sources, select Audio Input Capture from the options, then click Add Source. Name your source MIXLINE or something similar so it’s easy to identify.

Step 3: Your audio settings for your new source should open automatically. If not, double-click your new MIXLINE source and choose MIXLINE Stream or MIXLINE Record from the Device dropdown menu. Close the Advance Audio Settings window once you’ve made your selection.

Now, you’re ready to live stream with your routed audio curated how you want. If you have any further questions about how to use MIXLINE by Logitech G with Streamlabs Desktop, be sure to submit a ticket for help.
